Chinese electronics and home appliances retailer Gome and Japanese LCD screen maker Sharp have signed a strategic agreement in which Gome eyes sales of CNY6 billion Sharp LCD TVs from July 1 to the end of 2010.
This is reportedly Sharp's largest sales agreement on the Chinese mainland and it is an increase of 70% compared with the agreement signed by the two parties in 2009.
Li Juntao, vice president of Gome, told local media that the strategic agreement will focus on the resource cooperation between the two parties. Sharp will provide no less than five exclusive products, including large-size TVs, LED TVs, and 3D TVs, to Gome every half year for a debut sale.
At the same time, to better promote Sharp's products, Gome and Sharp will establish a special organization to jointly complete systematic work such as market planning, product selecting, marketing, and storage management logistics.
