Harman Appoints New Distributor In China

U.S.-based Harman has appointed Digital China Holdings Limited as its distributor for consumer multimedia products in China.

The relationship is intended to support Harman's strategy for increased penetration of its premium headphones, docking stations, computer and gaming speakers, and related products under the JBL and Harman Kardon brand names across the fast-growing China markets.

"We look forward to working with the Digital China team to introduce a growing audience of Chinese consumers to our popular multimedia products," said David Slump, president of Harman's consumer division. "Their deep knowledge of the local markets, sophisticated logistics processes and broad distribution infrastructure will quickly expand Harman's presence on the ground as we delight new customers with premium multimedia technologies and prompt, personal customer service."

Digital China has regional centers in 19 major cities across China, strategic partnerships with more 100 leading vendors worldwide and a network of more than 10,000 resellers and agents across the country.
