Russia and China will work together to establish an online platform which allows Russian manufacturers to export food into China.
According to reports in Russian local media, Chinese B2C e-commerce website JD.com will focus on the sales of fresh products with short shelf lives. Meanwhile, JD will help Russian sellers with logistics and marketing.
The Russia Export Center Company and JD signed a memorandum of cooperation, but financial details of the deal are not available.
JD's general manager of logistics and service in Russia said that with this platform, food from various regions in Russia will be available in Chinese consumers.
