Sending Payments To China Just Got A Little Smoother

The strict capital controls in China are slowly more surmountable as Renminbi payments made from overseas into China gain new channels.

U.S.-based digital money transfer provider Xoom Corporation this week unveiled their Chinese-language website and mobile applications to coincide with the Chinese money transfer service they launched in February 2015.

Xoom says when customers send a bank deposit to China during bank processing hours in China, the funds will be available directly in the receiver's bank account immediately. The transfers are processed through the UnionPay MoneyExpress network.

Customers can send up to USD2,999 for a USD8.88 fee when paying with their bank accounts.

The company though appears to not have an API for third-party e-commerce providers to integrate the Chinese-language money transfer services into their applications.
