Jetsetters Ready For China Voyages As Company Gains Service Station Approval

A joint venture among NetJets and a consortium of Chinese investors can now commence operation as a repair and service station.

The JV obtained its Part 145 Repair Station Certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China that allows for the service station. This approval is separate from the Part 135 certification which allows NetJets China to begin full scale operation providing private jet services for customers in China.

While working through the certification process, NetJets China says it has continued preparing for the start of flight operations. The company has hired its principal staff, established the necessary internal structures and processes for safe flight operations, and begun forming relationships with key vendors. Additionally, the company has purchased and imported two aircraft into China to offer charter services as soon as the government grants its approval.

NetJets Business Aviation Limited is a joint venture among NetJets Inc.; Hony Jinsi Investment Management (Beijing) Ltd, a Chinese private equity firm; and Fung Investments, a private investment company affiliated with the controlling shareholders of the Li & Fung group of companies. NetJets China's operational headquarters are based in the Zhuhai Jinwan Airport.
