Stockholm-based Elekta says it gained a USD28 million purchase order from the Health Department of the People's Liberation Army in China.
The company will deliver to fourteen Chinese hospitals 15 linear accelerators.
Elekta has been present in China since 1982, and China is the company's second largest market.
Elekta solutions in oncology and neurosurgery are used in over 6,000 hospitals worldwide. Elekta employs around 3,500 employees globally.
