GE China Creates New Global Supply Chain Position

GE has named an executive to fill a newly created role handing supply chain manufacturing operations in China.

Olivier Fontan has been appointed vice president for global supply chain at GE China. In this newly created role, Fontan will continue to lead supply chain manufacturing operations for power and water in Asia. In addition, he will be responsible for developing and executing cross-business multi-modal manufacturing strategy while collaborating with each GE business' sourcing teams to identify further volume growth in China.

Fontan has been with GE for 13 years, having served in various manufacturing and operation roles in power and water. He received his Diplôme d'Ingénieur in manufacturing technology from Ecole Nationale d'Ingenieurs in France.
