From January to March, the industrial profits of large Chinese enterprises achieved CNY1.174 trillion, an increase of 12.1% over the same period last year, and down by 5.1% over the first two months of this year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China.
In March, the industrial profits of these enterprises achieved CNY464.9 billion, an increase of 5.3% over the same period last year.
From January to March, the profits of larger state-owned and state-holding industrial enterprises gained CNY341.2 billion, an increase of 7.6% over the same period last year; and that of private enterprises gained CNY375.7 billion, increasing 17.8%.
The revenue from the principal business of all these enterprises reached CNY22.236 trillion, increasing 11.9% over the same period last year.
