Accor Stamp Design Campaign Comes To A Fruitful End

Final Winner Entitled to A Five-Day Escape to Tropical Paradise for Two

Shanghai, China (March 29, 2011) /ChinaNewswire.com/ — Accor SA, Europe's largest hotel management group, announces today that the stamp design competition, held specifically to celebrate the 100-hotel milestone in Greater China with the opening of Pullman Oceanview Sanya Bay Resort and Spa, has come to an end with remarkable achievements.

The stamp design campaign (from December 10, 2010 to February 28, 2011) in exclusive partnership with Sina travel channel has received buoyant responses from netizens around China with a total of 56 stamp design works submitted via the Internet for the contest. More than 27,000 votes were cast over competing works through an open online poll. Online impressions of the campaign page totaled over 160,000 visits.

Besides reflecting the features of the beachside property and the contemporary and elegant image of the upscale Pullman brand as required, contestants have submitted works which have displayed great diversity and extraordinary creativity. Some works have depicted real photo images to give the stamp a realistic touch while others have employed photo editing skills to optimise the beauty of the hotel. Different artistic styles have been adopted in the works leading to various visual effects such as oil painting and woodcuts. In terms of theme building, contestants have also demonstrated their creativity by mixing elements, such as the sunset, the panoramic pristine coastline as well as other tropical flavors found in an island resort.

The work "Pullman Oceanview Sanya Bay Resort and Spa" has been selected as the final winner by the netizens. The design has involved both a unique idea and an outstanding design, receiving ballots from 2,558 online voters. Simple while impressive, the piece of work has managed to deliver the theme of the campaign as well as the contemporary and elegant image of the upscale Pullman brand in a perfect way. In reward, the designer will be entitled to a grand prize that includes round-trip air tickets for two people to Sanya, plus five nights' free stays at Pullman Oceanview Sanya Bay Resort and Spa.

At the same time, another 20 contestants for their active involvement in the stamp design contest have won the participation prize and 50 other souvenirs have been given to award 50 lucky voters.
