China's Electronics And IT Sales Up 35.5% In First Two Months Of 2010

According to statistics published by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China's electronics information manufacturing industry realized sales of CNY796.3 billion in the first two months of 2010, a year-on-year increase of 35.5%.

Of the total revenue, CNY789.9 billion was from major businesses, a year-on-year increase of 38.5%. At the same time, the profit generated from the Chinese electronics information manufacturing industry increased by 350.8% year-on-year to CNY21.76 billion.

By industry, the profits of communications equipment, electronic components, and home audio-visual industries increased rapidly. From January to February 2010, the profits of these three industries increased by 758.2%, 959.6%, and 829.3%, respectively. In addition, the profit of China's computer industry was CNY4.18 billion during the period, increasing by 40.7% compared with the same period of last year.

During the first two months of 2010, China made a total number of 108.31 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 29.7%; the output of microcomputers increased by 41.3% to 31.97 million; the output of color TVs increased by 68.6% to 18.01 million; the output of monitors increased by 32.1% to 19.86 million; and the output of digital cameras increased by 31.3% to 10.92 million.

The statistics also show that China's income from the information technology value-added services reached CNY15.2 billion during the period, a year-on-year increase of 45.6%. Income from the information technology consulting and management services were CNY13.2 billion, a year-on-year increase of 12.6%.
