H.B. Fuller Opens Asia Pacific Technology Center In Shanghai

H.B. Fuller Company, a formulator and marketer of adhesives, sealants, paints and other specialty chemical products, has opened its first regional technical center in Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park.

The new lab is part of the company's five-year strategic plan to promote in-market innovation and develop customer relations in the Asia Pacific region. The center will house research and development, applications testing, sales, and regional leadership functions.

Michele Volpi, president and chief executive officer of H.B. Fuller, stated that the opening of the regional technical center reaffirms the company's commitment to the Asia-Pacific region and added that the lab is also the freshest example of H.B. Fuller's deep dedication to the philosophy of customer intimacy.

H.B. Fuller's regional technical center will focus on next-generation adhesive applications, helping the company promote product development and localization of initiatives in a variety of key market segments, ranging from insulating glass, packaging and nonwovens and fiberglass sizing and binding, to footwear and textiles, lean flooring and reverse-osmosis filtration.
