According to the latest statistics from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the accumulated revenue of China's software businesses reached CNY697.73 billion in the first 11 months of 2008, a year-on-year increase of 30.8%.
The statistics show that among different sectors of China's software industry, the revenue of software products was CNY308.5 billion, accounting for 44.2% of the total revenue. Compared with the same period last year, the revenue increased by 32% and the growth rate is 11.5 percentage points higher year-on-year.
The software technology service sector also experienced great development. For January to November 2008, CNY123.97 billion revenue was achieved in this sector, a year-on-year increase of 38.6%. Of that total, revenue made by software outsourcing services was CNY14.4 billion, increasing over 80% year-on-year.
In the first 11 months of 2008, China's software export reached USD12.5 billion, a year-on-year increase of 50.3% while the software outsourcing service export reached USD1.13 billion, a year-on-year increase of 48.1%.
