Intertek, an international provider of quality, safety, testing and inspection services, has been awarded ISO 17025 accreditation by the China National Accreditation Service for five laboratories in China.
ISO 17025 accreditation demonstrates that the laboratories’ operate under a quality management system that display competency to carry out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling. It also covers testing and calibration performed using standard methods, non-standard methods, and laboratory-developed methods.
The Intertek laboratories, located in Shanghai, Caojin, Dongguan, Huizhou and Tianjin, provide quality testing to the local energy and oil and gas industries at key locations in China. The Tianjin laboratory specializes in servicing the Coal and Coke industry, while the other four laboratories provide services to the petroleum, petrochemical and chemical industries.
Intertek’s laboratory network includes laboratories which are strategically located in key cities and major ports throughout China. Intertek’s business and technical services in China for the energy and commodity sector are one part of services offered by Intertek Group globally, and offer access to an international network of resources and expertise.
The laboratories employ chemists and technicians experienced in the petroleum, petrochemical, chemical, agricultural and minerals analysis sectors, with experienced coordinators, QC experts, and senior laboratory management providing quality support to the laboratory network.
