First Chinese Textile Company Certified To Oeko-Tex Standard 1000

Suzhou Deylon Textiles Co., Ltd, a large joint venture specializing in the manufacturing of Arab headscarves, has passed the field audits carried out by the Swiss Textile Testing Institute TESTEX for the certification of Oeko-Tex Standard 1000.

Oeko-Tex Standard 1000 is an international standardized testing, auditing and certification system issued by the Oeko-Tex Association, and focuses on the examination of environmental management and the fulfillment of their social responsibility of textile companies. It also makes specific requirements on social standards such as child labor, and environmental standards such as waste water, waste gas, waste residue, and noise.

Currently more than 30 Chinese textile companies have expressed their desire to conform to Oeko-Tex Standard 1000 through consultation with TESTEX, and several of them are applying for the certificate.
