Nederman, a leading environment technology company, has opened a new factory in Shanghai.
The company, headquartered in Sweden, designs and manufactures systems for extracting dust, smoke, and vehicle exhaust fumes. It also produces and sells a range of hose and cable reels as well industrial cleaning equipment.
The new factory, which has a total area of approximately 3,400 square meters will enable Nederman to produce a selected part of their product range for the Asia Pacific region. The building will also function as a logistics centre for Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
The company's sales and sales support organization for China and East Asia will be located in this new unit. The building also includes a showroom and training facilities.
Sven Kristensson, CEO, Nederman said, "By establishing ourselves in China we are able to offer our customers shorter lead-times, quicker feedback and more accessibility within Asia Pacific. This investment is a part of our strategy to continue to grow rapidly in these interesting markets."
