Oshkosh Corporation has broken ground for a new manufacturing facility in Tianjin to produce JLG access equipment specifically for the Asian market.

The Mianzhu City factory of Jiannanchun Group, a key alcohol manufacturer in China, has been shut down because of the earthquake in Wenchuan, Sichuan Province.

Zhong Shanshan, president of Nongfu Spring, told First Financial Daily that to support the earthquake relief of the disaster areas in Sichuan, Nongfu Spring will invest RMB300 million to build a mineral water factory in these areas.

Zhang Zhengkui, special consultant to Terry Kuo, president of Taiwan based Foxconn, has donated RMB60 million to Sichuan earthquake victims on behalf of Terry Kuo, Foxconn Group and the company's employees. This is the largest sum of donation that Sichuan has received from a Taiwanese company.

Wells Fargo in the United States says it is working with its remittance network member bank Agricultural Bank of China to temporarily eliminate all remittance transfer fees for customers sending money using the ExpressSend service to friends and family in China impacted by the earthquake.

Toyota, China FAW Group Corporation and their joint venture company have expressed their condolences to people affected by the earthquake in Sichuan and they've donated RMB10 million and ten SUV Prado vehicles to help with the relief efforts.

Many international IT companies have been affected by the earthquake that hit Wenchuan, Sichuan Province on May 12.
