China's Taobao.com Gets Tough On Fakers

According to information from Chinese Internet auction website Taobao.com, the website is currently cooperating with local commerce departments around China to fight sales of fake and shoddy products, and users who are found selling fake products in their online shops on Taobao.com will have their accounts permanently disabled.

China Protects Apple's IPR

Shenyang Municipal Intermediate People's Court has announced its decision on a trademark infringement lawsuit between the U.S.-based Apple and the Shenzhen-based New Apple Concept Digital Technology Co., Ltd., which orders the Shenzhen-based electronics company to pay CNY400,000 compensation to Apple for trademark and logo infringements.

Kingsoft Reacts To Microsoft's Anti-piracy Measures In China

Commenting on the desktop anti-piracy measure recently launched by Microsoft in China, Kingsoft says that although they too are harmed by pirated software, China-based Kingsoft will not copy Microsoft's mode and promises to continue to offer free WPS Office software to individual users.
