Shenzhen based China Ritar Power, a Chinese manufacturer of lead acid batteries, is looking to increase its market penetration in the alternative energy storage market.

China Ritar Power Corp., a Chinese manufacturer of lead-acid batteries, announced that its technical and manufacturing complex in Hengyang City, Hunan Province began production of lead plates on July 30, 2008.

China Sunergy Co.,Ltd., a specialized solar cell manufacturer based in Nanjing, has announced that it has entered into a supply agreement with the European wafer provider REC Wafer for a high quality supply of monocrystalline 156-millimeter wafers for the seven years from 2009 through 2015.
