HK Customs Clamp Down On Pirated Games

In a recent operation codenamed "Intruder", officers from the Hong Kong Intellectual Property Investigation Bureau raided five shops in Tsuen Wan and Sham Shui Po and, for the first time, seized eight portable electronic game consoles with circumvention devices and 16 memory cards loaded with pirated games, with a total value of HKD13,500.

Fujian Local Court Convicts Chinese Brake Pad Counterfeiter

In a move that suggests China is becoming serious about intellectual property rights Fujian Xiapu County Court recently issued a landmark criminal conviction and heavy penalties against the Xiapu Huafeng Factory after finding the factory and its legal representative guilty of counterfeiting Honeywell's "Bendix" trademark as well as brands of several other international companies.
