Samsung Obtains Part Of China Mobile's TD Mobile Phone Deal

South Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung has obtained a TD-SCDMA mobile phone order from China Mobile.

China Mobile, which began the commercial testing of TD-SCDMA network this month, is reportedly to have received 60,000 TD-SCDMA mobile phones and 15,000 data cards from suppliers.

Samsung participated in China Mobile's TD-SCDMA mobile phone bidding, though the company right now mainly focus on the production of GSM/TS-SCDMA double module mobile phones. In addition, the company is reportedly to have received an order from China Mobile for TD-SCDMA mobile phones which shall be offered to staff of Beijing Olympics starting in May.
