After about one year's preparation, Chinese electronics manufacturer Skyworth has finally entered a strategic cooperation with LG Display Company and the two will carry out a series of cooperation plans in Shenzhen and South Korea.

As part of their cooperation, Skyworth will invest in LGD's Guangzhou LCD Module Factory and the parties will set up a joint venture company in Guangzhou to research display technology. Skyworth will set up a large LCD TV factory opposite LGD Guangzhou's LCD Module Factory to jointly create an integrated cooperation pattern that combines LCD modules and LCD televisions.

Qi Xuanmin, deputy general manager of LGD Shenzhen's TV Marketing Department, says that it is the first time that LGD cooperated with a whole-machine factory by jointly setting up a R&D company with it. He says this can help both parties save costs.
